I finally had my global entry interview!
It was quite painless actually. I was completely through before my appointment time. I met with a TSA agent at the Houston Public Library. He asked me where I was going and when. He verified all of my personal information and explained that I would receive the card in the mail. He asked me about what grade and subject I taught (I was grading a stack of papers in the waiting room), and commented that he was never a fan of social studies because all his teachers did was lecture and have students take notes. I said that my class was not like that, and this trip was going to allow me to bring Africa back to my students. This is one less thing to worry about!
